She's in the 1 year old range, a petite black girl who came to us from not-good circumstances. Left in a crate along the side of a major highway in the deep cold, thankfully someone stopped to investigate. Turned into ASPCA, we've since had her spayed and are now working to teach an untrusting cat that not all humans are abusive. She would not tolerate touch in the first few weeks here, but now is letting us pet her, gently groom her and slowly starting to pick her up too. She won't be for a home with children, and we have to assume it was a man who mistreated her as she is defensive and strike-y around men (but we have some good men around here who are also trying to help her). She will take some time, but she'll be worth it.
