UPDATE: Ladybird just back from working with our trainer, who has turned her life around! She's doing amazing with her socializing and dog-dog play!  Abandoned in Nanton and brought in through RCMP, Ladybird is in the 2 year old range, a Doberman X we believe. She was an absolute wreck of a dog on intake ... fearful, barky, afraid to go outside (!), afraid to be approached. Everything about her said "keep away" (you can see even in some of the photos how unsure she is of someone new, our photographer). The beautiful thing about Ladybird is when she trusts, she trusts all the way. She has completely bonded with all of us ... it took 4 weeks.  The people we're looking for are patient, experienced, non-complacent and ideally have another dog in the home she can continue to learn from and follow. Ladybird is so worth the effort, and a testament to the success of a dog who had such a poor start and is learning to enjoy life!
