UPDATE: Both girls have been diagnosed with a condition called mega-esophagus, a difficult condition to manage. We can give a potential adopter all of our advice on routines, feeding, meds and prognosis for the longerm. This definitely makes her harder-to-adopt and would be great to have her considered by someone in the mega-e community. Sister to Courtney, Kendra was a transfer from a Southern Alberta municipality when found abandoned at an eviction property. She is approx. 9 mos old, a Cane Corso X, and has a big personality! She is also clever, has moments of "push-back" and would benefit from a more experienced owner to give her the structure every young dog needs. She's one of those dogs you give a command to, and she looks at you like "Really? You want me to sit?" Ah, yes, girl, you need to sit! She's a bit unsure meeting new dogs, but quickly settles into play, and her quick brain is picking up what we're working on teaching her. She is not our first choice for young children, but would likely do well with teenager age. Another dog in the home she could learn from would be great for her, too.
