Adopted in the Fall and recently returned, Scottie Beau is actually a great dog who we learnt isn't appropriate for a very young child home. He enjoys play with other dogs (but needs to be coached so he doesn't get too rough), knows his basic commands, and is good on leash with someone who will remind him who is walking who (!), is crate trained, and tolerant but not excellent with cats. Scottie needs a home with good and fair rules, consistency so he understands his place, and although he's not a super high energy dog, he does need good daily exercise. Children in the 10+ range are more ideal for him, those who can give commands and praise, while still playing with him. He is approx. 2.5 years old, a medium sized fellow and in good health.
