Found as an injured, intact stray, it took a few weeks for him to heal once he was vetted. Then it took a few months for him to figure out we weren't going to hurt him ...  he was strike-y and unwilling to accept touch from us. We kept trying, though, and now he expects his attention and continues to improve his human socializing skills! He's a big cat, we think in the 3 year old range. He is not a fan of dogs but isn't fussed by the other cats. Given his background, we're not recommending him for a home with children.
