Kiernan was a wreck of a puppy when he came in ... found with a broken tibia, underweight and full of parasites, he needed an immediate surgery to fix his leg and get him out of pain. His recovery has gone well, and now we're ready to talk about him for adoption. He's on 5 mos old, and is a bit behind on his training as we were limited with some of the exercises we would normally do. He does know sit, he is learning the leash, play is still somewhat limited as the leg continues to heal so although he really wants to play with the other dogs, we've had to restrict heavy exercise. He is happy to go into his crate, is very settled in a vehicle, loves loves loves people (and can be quite demanding for attention, which we're working on!). He figures out his puzzle toys in 20 seconds, can be vocal around feeding time (!) and makes great eye contact with humans. Kiernan will need a home respectful to the results of a big surgery, who can monitor and manage play/exercise time, and although he really likes children, we're recommending a more adult home at this time. Full grown weight likely in the 70 lbs range.
